If you've ever wondered . . .
  • How your occupancy costs compare to other local nonprofits.
  • How to move your organization out of the proverbial “church basement” space without breaking the bank.
  • Where to find other like-minded organizations that might want to share space.
  • Where to find a janitor, contractor or other real estate professionals that have experience working with nonprofits.
  • When you should own vs. lease your office space.
  • What resources, besides a bank loan or a capital campaign, are available to help you purchase a building.
Call us – if we don’t know the answer, we’ll help you find someone who does.

MarinSpace operates as a social enterprise. We generate revenue from a combination of philanthropic and earned income sources. Our nonprofit level fees and rents are both affordable and help sustain our operations. Grants, sponsorships, and donations assist us with facility improvements, specific projects, and our information and referral programs. We will also partner with clients to submit planning grants, provide pre-development fiscal sponsorship, or negotiate an equity sharing relationship for a specific building.

Our consulting services are generally billed on a time-and-materials basis according to an agreed upon scope of work and project budget. Other services, such as our Lease Review and Administration program, are provided on a fixed fee sliding scale. For some projects we can provide a limited amount of Service Grant hours to assist with initial project start-up and/or a specific phase of the work.
